    Why a Seed Accelerator?

MILLERIA accepts many types of service businesses to join our program, but will invest only in about one in a hundred opportunities. We invest in rapidly growing markets, new technologies and smart business plans as well as really exceptional people.

To be accepted to our Accelerated Program is different from applying for a business loan or raising debt. Lenders have a legal right to an interest and repayment of debt irrespective of if the firm is a success or a failure. Instead, we provides funding and Accelerated Services in exchange for shares.

We only earn a return on our investment if we can sell the shares at a higher price when the firm moves on to later financing stages (such as venture capital or private equity). Our investments are not liquid. This is why MILLERIA carries out a detailed due diligence prior to any investment, and also why we have to be so selective.

    Financing Stages

It all comes down to this. MILLERIA provides Seed Money, corresponding to very early stages such as proving new ideas and concepts. The Start-up and subsequent rounds are pitched to Venture Capital firms, Private Equity firms and business professionals after graduation from the Seed Accelerator program.

    • Seed Money

Now, you’re probably wondering about Seed Money, low-level financing needed to prove new ideas and concepts.

    • Start-up

Early stage financing needed to fund early marketing and service development expenses.

    • First-Round

The first financing round funds working capital needs.

    • Second-Round

The second financing round provides further working capital for early stage firms that develop favorably, but maybe not yet turn a profit.

    • Third-Round

The Mezzanine financing provides expansion funding for newly profitable firms.

    • Fourth-Round

To top it off the bridge financing, or fourth financing round, funds the "going public" process.
